I think I have another one...she will be going to the vet again tomorrow...
this is Stormie...the kitten that was returned to me for pooping all over...after a stay at the hospital for the day...2 medications and a change of diet...she is doing fine in that area...and growing in leaps and bounds and oh so playful...except the last couple of days...but she is teething...and she is sneezing something awful tonight....
reminds me of when Roo was a kitten and sneezed like that...he ended up having multiple fangs that extended into his sinus cavity that needed to be surgically removed...
so tomorrow morning Stormie will go get checked to see if this is a URI starting...or teething woes...and which way we need to go with treatment...better safe than sorry!
On the positive side...she is eating and drinking well...but only eating on one side of her mouth...I was watching her this evening just to be sure she was eating and drinking...so I know a tooth or teeth are bothering her...

Please ask the vet to culture any exudate, this way, you don't have to go through numerous rounds of antibiotics, she's too young to have to go through that.
The sneezing may or may not be related to oral health/teething. But, both need to be checked out thoroughly. Also rule out herpesvirus, and foreign body in the nasal cavity. Has either kitten been vaccinated and their series kept up? How is the other kitten doing?
The vaccinations are important, because you have many other cats, and if any of them are immunocompromised, they can be at risk.
Btw, if she's due for a booster, make sure the sneezing is not related to an infection first, you do NOT want to vaccinate if there is an infection present. The booster can be resumed after the infection has cleared completely.
Please let us know how the appt goes tomorrow.

Thanks I will do....I do not want to do antibiotics if we do not have to...however, the shot that is available is absolutely wonderful...I love not having to fight with them to give medicine 2 times a day...
the other kitten, Roxie, is doing wonderfully, no more siezures...eating well...she is a stocky fat little thing...I need to get some pics of her...she is gorgeous!!...and she has had her first series of vaccinations...she still is not happy with my husband for taking her for that...LOL...she runs away every time she sees him...and before that, she would climb up and sleep on his shoulder...hopefully in time she will forgive him...
Stormie has not had vaccinations yet because I wanted to get her balanced and going regularly before starting that with her...but since she has gotten over her tummy woes, she has more than doubled in size...long and lanky...and she loves to play with Roxie...they play hide around the corner, bop you on the head and run...LOL

She has a URI....running a fever today and her lungs sounded raspy/wheezy....so she got a shot and is back home again already eating and drinking...I am glad it did not affect her appetite at all...

Keep an eagle eye on her, the fever and lung congestion are serious, and could develop into pneumonia.

I did not even ask him which one...I said I would rather the 10 day shot than trying to get antibiotics into her...it was a light amber color liquid

Right now she is fast asleep curled up on the dining room table in a sun shaft...snuffling away, but sleeping peacefully, so I will let her stay there...

This evening...I wish I could use a snot puller on her like I did with my son when he was a baby....she sounds miserable...just all stuffed up...laying here on my desk with me right now...
however, she still has been drinking well and eating...so not worried about dehydration at the moment...and I did see her peeing a good amount earlier today, so that is good too...
Just a very miserable stuffed nose and grungy feeling I am sure..I can imagine she would have a headache and no feel good otherwise either...wish I could do something for her...I feel kind of helpless when they are like this...but just keeping an eye on her and waiting for the meds to do their thing....

Convenia can take up to 2 days to show effect, so take that into account. As long as she continues to eat/drink normally, this may soon pass, but you MUST keep a diligent eye on her due to the nature of infection, and her age, and unvaccinated status.
