Seems we have some progress so far. Put her evening meal down and she ate a little more than half of it before she walked away. That's better than this morning!

My shelties have me well trained too.

She expects you to feed her - she will learn the new routine and will eat when you put the food out for her. Don't give in (maybe give her a treat or something, but not a bowl of food). When I first got Foxy, she was used to free feeding, but that's not an option in our house - Allie would scarf down anything she left in no time. It took a couple of weeks, but she learned if she didn't eat it all when I put it down for her in the morning, there wouldn't be any more until supper time.

Still not having complete success. I'm leaving the food down for about an hour and she still isn't eating it all. With the smaller cans she's doing better and I did see her nibbling from the bowl of dry I put down for Chunk. I'm taking both bowls up after an hour or so and not putting any food back down until the next feeding time. Maybe I'm just over estimating the amount of food that Lucy needs? She is a pretty small cat.

What's her weight?

Unrelated, but has that bump over her eye healed? She doesn't feel hot, does she?

Maybe put down only dry for a couple days, don't feed canned for two days, see what she does.

Or, mix a bit of canned INTO the dry kibbles, maybe she prefers to crunch kibbles and still get the benefit of the tasty canned?
