Thank you Traci. I will ask about that. She just will not eat the kidney
prescription diets. How much pepsid for a 7.6 dog? I will get some
tomorrow. All I have are big tablets.....can't think of the name!! OH,
Gaviscon. I do believe she is nauseated.

I prefer your vet recommend the brand/type and dosage, Jenni is very small, so she may recommend a very small amount. You don't want to score tablets (cut them) unless absolutely necessary or on advice of your vet.

I really think she might benefit from pepcid or similar, and please do talk to the vet about her food, Jenni might surprise you just by preferring a more normal type dog food right now - just ask the vet and see if she agrees or not.

Can you remind me, how old is Jenni?

She will be 8 in 3 weeks......I hope.

I will have to call the emergency vet or mine at home. No one
of the regular vets are open over the weekend.

Well, I personally prefer pepcid, but we have to defer to your vet. I think they will agree to it, just want the best, minimal dosage for her. The vet might even have the powder for liquid form but if not, she'll score it for you, and probably advise mixing it in a syringe with water or eyedropper and giving it in the corner of the mouth (easy for Jenni and avoids having her avoid her food if put in food - which I don't recommend)

She is gone. Around 1:30 am she was on my pillow, as usual,

and she had a seizure of some sort. She was panting, shaking

and disoriented, so I called my old vet at home and he said he

would come to the clinic. (He still fills in sometimes.) We drove

to Bend and let her go. We got there at 3:30am and she was

released from pain at 3:45am.

May God love you as much as I do Jenni.

Mou, I am so very very sorry and heartbroken, I know this is such a shock, I truly hoped that her condition could be managed, and I know you did everything you possibly could have done for Jenni.

My heart so breaks for you, and I know this is tearing you apart. I wish I had adequate comforting words, please know you're not alone!

Safe and gentle journey sweet sweet Jenni, you will be so missed

I too was heartbroken to see your post. I know the pain all too well.
