Peg, what's going on, is it her kidneys or thyroid or ? Have you spoken to your vet about available palliative options?

Shannon and you are in my prayers, I so hope you and your vet can help her, please know she's in my thoughts and prayers!

You have my prayers for Shannon, Peg. Hugs to you...it's not easy when a beloved pet gets older.

I'm so sorry Peg. I too know the heartache of watching a beloved pet age and deteriorate. I hope Shannon is better. Sending lots of love and good wishes your way.

Thanks, Traci. The vet checked Shannon over and said her arthritis was inflamed and she was in distress but all her vitals were good and he felt it was not her time. Thank goodness. He put her on prednisolone and Buprenx for the inflamation and she is back home and climbing on the furniture again. Shannon had the I-131 in 2007 so her thyroid is finished. Her heart is very strong and her kidneys are holding quite well for her age. Thanks so much for the prayers. I know they help. Shannon is an amazing kitty. The vet said at 20 he cannot predict how long she will live but he said she looks good for her age and he was sure this was not her time.
