I'm really furious that this happened, let alone the delay in fixing it!!

My prayers are with yours, E's, humans are the most stupid and evil of all the creatures on earth.

Isn't it awful?!!! This has been a major topic in our house lately, as the oil is likely to affect the Florida coast as well. The only good that has come of this is there is now a major move to prevent oil rigs off the Florida coast. Our governor ran on a "no drilling" platform, but had changed his mind. (You've probably seen him in the news - Charlie Crist - he's left the Republican party and is running for US Senate as an independent and the Repulican party is calling him all kinds of names because of it. It made the national news) And with the federal government lifting the ban, it looked like it probably would happen. I think now it will be on-hold for a long time and that's a good thing. It's bad enough that the waves will carry the oil from elsewhere to us if there is a spill. IMHO, the bad doesn't outweigh the good with this issue.
