Glad to hear she's feeling better...make sure the consistency of the canned food is super soft, like pudding or soupy, I'm sure her mouth is pretty sore.

She is feeling so much better that I went to check on her on the cushion (an old couch cushion on the floor) earlier this evening and she was not there

I looked around and she had gotten up on the back of hubby's computer chair...and it is the same as mine, just a fabric rather than leather...

She had to jump onto a dining room chair...from there to the buffet, then to the chair...
Of course she was immediately removed from that perch and placed back on the cushion on the floor!!

She has eaten another spoonful of canned food and a generous splash of KMR...been out to the kitchen and drank a huge amount of water...

She is very chirpy and purrrrry and just watching her sleep I can tell she is feeling so much better....she is curled into her usual ball with her nose tucked under rather than stretched out...

and her fur even looks more vibrant and smooth....not all mussed up and scraggly looking...

I will start her on the Clavamox again tomorrow...he gave her a shot today...

She got her ears cleaned and all else as well while she was there!!

Right now she is sleeping in the seat part of hubby's chair and that is fine...with her face totally hidden under her front leg and her hind feet stretched out beyond her head!!!!

I am glad I called and took her in at 7:30 this morning...but I am ready for bed now!!

Gypsy is like a new cat today...she met me in the living room and led me to the kitchen and was interested in the dry food dishes, but I am still wanting to feed her canned for a while...

She ate 2 tablespoons of canned food mixed with some KMR, and for the firs time in DAYS she ate the entire serving...

now here we are about 2.5 hours later and she is doing it again :D

I cannot believe that this is the same cat I was crying over last week!!!

This morning when I came down to let dogs out...even though I had a killer-getting-sick-migraine...she met me at the French doors to the living room and led me to the kitchen where she ate about 2 Tablespoons of canned food wiht the last bit of KMR over it...

this afternoon now, since I came home from doctor and am feeling MUCH better, she ate 2 Tablespoons and wanted MORE, so I gave her 2 more and she ate about half of that...

Now she is in my lap kneading and purrrrring....

she is fattening up again and her eyes are bright...nose and inside of ears pink again...

WOW!!!

What a transformation, I'll bet she had an abcess or a tooth just got so bad it was too painful to eat. She's such a beautiful little girl!

Did you say her appointment was yesterday or did you mean next Tuesday? I still recommend bloodwork to check her liver/kidneys, k?

It was supposed to be yesterday but I had such a bad migraine I could barely get out of bed and had my mom drive me to the doctor, so I had to postpone that...I figured since she is eating good and looking good...the vet would know she is okay now in that respect...and bloodwork is not a life or death matter right now, so I will reschedule that....

She was very interested in the dry kibble today....but did not attempt to eat any yet, so I mixed a few morsels in with her canned food to soften it some and get her eating that taste and texture again...she did well and ate almost all of it....
