Thank you, Traci...it has been a rough day, but I know he is at peace and once again running with Bryn and Festus...my yellow (Bryn) and black (Festus) labs who passed over the bridge long before Blackfoot did...

I went to check on him as my son was getting ready for his first day of work...ever (he is 14) and I debated whether or not to tell him before he left...but then I figured he would feel worse if he came home and found we buried Blackfoot without him getting to say goodbye...

Blackfoot is now under a tree out in our back yard with Bryn and my first cat, Tigger...

Marty...you mae me laugh with your comment about the pizza...Blackfoot did like that these last few days...I can imagine a doggie pizza party...

I just imagine him running and being happy again, and that is what matters the most...

Your sensible love, care and patience make you an inspiration to us all, Tambrey. Yes, I too believe Blackfoot is at peace. He was a fortunate dog, after all, wasn't he? This doesn't heal the sadness you and your family feel right now, I know... but perhaps it will be of comfort in some way.

Thank you Dot, Cleo and ShelbysMom...it was hard today not putting food and water into his dishes when we fed the other animals...but yes, he is at peace once again...

That is my favourite picture of him...he loved to pose for the camera He was a great dog...so easy to train and run alongside, even without a leash or anything...

When he would get out of his yard, he would go visit the neighbors...he loved to be around people even though he hated being inside, which made it hard to spend alot of time with him...I hated leaving him outside all the time, but it was his choice to do so...I tried to make him and indoor dog, but he wanted the fresh air and sunshine...even in winter we would go out and find him, face to the sun, laying on a snowbank, enjoying the day...
