Hi all,
I wanted to pick your brains on something. I have 2 cats, both a little over a year old, and I have recently noticed (in the last 2 days) that one of them is going into his litter tray very frequently i.e. once evert 5-10 minutes while he is awake. I'm not sure if he is actually weeing each time (he doesn't seem to be in there long enough) and I can't really see as it is a covered tray. It may just be that he likes to dig?!? He is fine in all other respects - he's eating and drinking, being cuddly, letting me stroke his tummy, playing with his brother and running around as normal.
Any ideas?

Re: Funny Weeing Behaviour
Is he just digging? or does he dig and then try to go?
Just to be safe you should get him to the vet for a urine test.
It could be a urinary tract infection... Your cat, if he has a UTI will otherwise seem fine... as in, he'll be eating, playing etc etc like normal...
is he drinking a lot of water? or more water than usual?
You should either get a urine sample, if you doo manage to get a urine sample, you'll need to get it to your vet within one hour of collecting the urine, failing that, you should get him to the vet for a urine check... try to make sure he hasn't already been for a pee before hand...
