Two male cats one is chasing the other away

I wondered if you could help me please. I moved back into my mothers house after i sold my flat I had one female cat(Slinky) and one male cat(Snowy). Slinky is the mother of Snowy and my mother had another of the male cats(patch) from the litter. For the first couple of years the cats got on quite well never brilliant but not too bad. Two years later I got myself a new home but as my cats had settled in nicely it seemed a shame to uproot them again and everyone was happy they stayed where they were. I have now moved out just under two years and suddenly Snowy has started to stalk Patch, everytime he comes home Snowy goes up to him and he walks off its like he is scared of him, he then might not come back for a few days and snowy does the same again. My mother is getting fed up and I don't know what we can do about it, I can't have snowy back where i am now. I hope you can help as I don't want my mother to loose Patch because Snowy chasing him off and he doesn't come home, I also don't want to loose snowy either. All advice would be gratfully received.

How old are the cats and when were their last vet exams? Sounds like one or more are allowed outdoors, so this could be a potential problem in and of itself.
