Exhaustion is contagious!

Post by DeVon »

Of course I have to remember too that while I am working at the nursing home during the day, all my furkids are very busy working on holding down my bed, chairs, floor, you name it!

At shift's end, I always look forward to that moment when I can get off my feet and lay on the bed to relax and watch some tv.

Skittle moves into position to dutifully clean the toes that are attached to the feet that work so hard during the day!

Shiloh figures the closer she is to mom for a group nap, the better!

Wow, an opening for that group nap and Velcro puts in his zzzzzzz's too!

And last but not least, we just can't let that second set of pillows go unused, so Toby volunteers for the dirty job of holding them down.

Love the pics!

I have to know - how did Velcro get his name? There has to be a good story behind that name!

Velcro is our 'sticky' cat! He is the type of cat who comes right up and rubs his face against yours until the cows come home, and he'd be content to be carried around all day with his paws wrapped around your neck like a toddler! We actually had a Velcro a few years ago that I took in, but sadly he had already contracted leukemia (he was a stray) and now rests under a huge shade tree beside our old irish setter we lost to congestive heart failure a few months before. He was identical in looks and disposition to this sweet fellow, and Amber is convinced this is the one our first Velcro sent to mend our broken hearts. I believe it too :D

That's not a good story, it's a great one!

I'm not what you'd call a 'cat person', but if I could have a cat like that, I know I'd be won-over quickly. (No cats for me though - the hubbie doesn't care for them and the kid's allergic!)

Great photos! I have to say, I have been missing the Skittle stories while you were away from the boards.
Did school start in your neck of the woods yet? Here in NY, we are down to the last two weeks or so of vacation. I'm trying to live it up while I still can.

Down here school started for the grade-schoolers on August 8. We start 'em early! I start teaching tonight (community college). Back to the grind!
