Re: man kicked my dog!!!
Is there a chance you could report this guy? He would probably say that Timmy threatened him or something like that but I understand your anger and frustration and feel like the guy should be held accountable someway.
Once a guy parked in front of our house and Roxy, who was in our fenced yard, barked twice at the guy and he started throwing rocks at her. I yelled at him and he went ballisitic, threatening to come over the fence and take care of both me and my dog. Some people are just nuts. There wasn't much I could do either - guess I feel lucky that I never saw him again.
Hope your pup is okay.

I am going to keep walking there and ask people with dogs if they have seen him or if he has caused them any hassle!!!
i could understand it if timmy was annoying him!!!
but getting up and kicking a dog just because he is running past is really uncalled for!!!
does he get up and kick people 2????
oohhh i was really not amused!!!

You know, I was just thinking that it might be good
that you didn't say anything. I'd worry about what this guy would do/say to you. I think it's a good idea to talk to other dog people about this guy, but I'd be really cautious about approaching him. It just seems like someone who would kick a dog going by for absolutely no reason must be a little off-kilter!
To avoid having another incident,
I think I would turn the dogs around and go back...The man is probably terrified of dogs (in which case, he shouldn't be in an off leash area). Maybe it is a chicken's way out, but I wouldn't want my dog to be kicked again. Maybe at some time, he was mauled by a dog and never got over it....
Re: man kicked my dog!!!
when i got timmy he had problems that took me a while to sort out he growled at other dogs and was over protective of me gradually we have sorted this out i dont want him to be nervous of people cause then he might start to bite!!!
but this man must be a wierdo to do something like that!!!!!!
my dog didnt deserve to be kicked!!!
my dogs last owner was dying with cancer when she gave him to me i brought him to see her everyday and he was heart broken when she died and acted really wierd!!!
he is lovely now and loves to fetch and play and even swim!!!!
COULD THIS HAVE A LASTING EFFECT ON HIM????

I personally would be very leery of someone who would kick a dog with the owner right there watching. This is NOT a 'normal' person, and could be dangerous. If you were to report him, it's more likely that your dog would end up quarantined as 'dangerous', than it is that this guy would get in trouble. The law usually does not favor animals. My reaction would be the same as yours - get the H*** out. Your life is not worth tangling with this idiot. However, you could report a 'suspicious person' to the police and let them check him out. If he's that mean to dogs - how would he treat kids in the same park?
