Excessive twitching

Post by Muffin's Mom »

Hi, I'm new here. I have a 12 year old Kitty that is in pretty good health. Just lately she has been more restless. One recent thing I have noticed is she twitches alot. The twitching is mainly on her back. If I touch her there or brush her there she licks her paws excessively. I am calling the vet tomorrow to set up an appointment. I was just wondering if anyone has a cat that experiences this.

This could be nearly anything from hyperesthesia to a pain response. Or, it may simply be a reaction to your touch. Only your vet can say upon exam.

My cat does that if she gets a flea, she has a flea allergy. Linda
