Thanks for all the helpful answers! She was still feeling bad and not eating today, so I called the vet's office and they said to bring her back in immediately. He checked her ears, and said the drums were okay, nothing out of the ordinary in there. But she was beginning to get dehydrated, so she was given rehydration by a needle into her skin for a few minutes. He also gave me a little syringe-like thing that makes it easier to give her the antibiotic pills, and demonstrated its use. It worked like a charm.
Sooo..... I took her home (only 5 minutes away), and by the time I put down her carrier & let her out, she was already walking a little better, carrying her tail up again, and was asking for breakfast, which she actually ATE! It was trulyamazing.
So apparently it's been a combination of the anesthesia, dizziness from probably vigorous ear-flushing to remove wax (I've had the same thing, and it's made me kinda' woozy, as well - though not for very long.) Most likely the way she felt made her not want to eat, and possibly lowering her head to her food dish made her feel worse, as well. Who knows - maybe she had a little kitty "hangover" from the anesthesia, and had a headache....... And of course, not eating or drinking probably just compounded and prolonged the symptoms. So it was kind of a viscious downward cycle.
Tonight she ate a little dinner, appreciated being brushed & petted, and had several kinds of kitty-treats for a late-night snack. So I'm more optimistic that she'll be a lot better by the end of the weekend.
