If that's the case, go with your gut feeling, but just make sure you have all the available information before you to make an informed decision. Ask the questions of her that you had planned. I would just hate to see this as something that could be treated, but not treated, and his suffering needlessly.
Sorry, I should be clearer - the internal specialist said a scope is too dangerous because he's so small and his bladder/urethra so delicate. Her fear is perforation because of the original bladder damage when it ruptured and then the issues he's having now. She said it was more likely that the procedure would go wrong than right, and that I'd still be charged for the anaesthesia even if the procedure didn't complete. So it was her recommendation to do the catheter procedure, I'm just going to do it with my regular vet.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Let us know when it's scheduled/how it goes. Here's hoping and praying your baby finds relief, that it can be treated!!

Hi Traci,

I just wanted to thank you for all of your help over the years. My poor Ami passed on today due to his bladder problems. Your advice was always so welcomed, both to help us seek the right assistance and to assuage our fears. All the best to you long into the future!

Oh NO!! I am so very very sorry to hear about Ami, my heart breaks for him and you. He was such a trooper through everything.

Ami was so fortunate to have such a devoted mom, I know you loved him so very very much! I hope you can find comfort in knowing he knew you did everything you could do, and he knows how much you love him. Safe and gentle journey, sweet Ami, you are so missed! (((((HUGS)))))
