A cat with no tongue

Post by Tina B and crew »

There is a cat at our local rescue agency that has no tongue. They are trying to find a foster for him. I so wish I was able to foster again, but alas, I can't. They haven't said if they know why he has no tongue, if it's a congenital defect or what, but the poor guy can't groom himself. Hopefully he will find a furever home with another kitty that loves to groom him.

This is the first time I've seen this problem. He kind of got my heart. He looks like Doc a little bit. *sigh*

Oh, poor baby! Maybe they should cross-post it to a handicapped pets/special needs, or, even sphynx breed rescues sites since baths are a given with that breed. Strange they wouldn't note what special needs he needs, vet's opinion on care, etc.

Plus the screen fosters pretty closely. I'm sure everything was discussed outside of Facebook.
