Many of you remember JDF (Jim DeFrance), the man of many talents, man of the world, accomplished artist, poet, dog and cat rescuer, expert on canine epilepsy and other canine subjects. Kevin has received word recently that Jim passed away on April 4, 2014.
Rest in Peace, dear Jim, we will remember always your kindness, your humor, your captivating stories, poems, and of course, your rescues and your heart-dog Roxy (Roxy's tribute image on our forum index page).

I remember him and his beloved Roxy. I am sorry to hear this. RIP, JDF, and thanks for sharing your stories with us.
Re: Loss of a good friend - JDF
Jim was the first person I talked to online years ago about Mable, having seizures. He talked to me when I was scared I was going to lose that dog. His devotion to his own dog, and others dogs as well, will never be forgotten. He was a stellar man with a heart of gold.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We had just "found" each other on FaceBook. He was a good man with a good heart and also very talented.
