Prayers and good wishes needed for Buster

Post by k9Karen »

Buster is my daughter's Boston Terrier (who we affectionately called the Boston Terrorist before the bombings - we've stopped that now). You may remember him from pictures I posted a while back. Buster has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has been having some awful seizures and my DD is just beside herself with worry. I doubt she has the resources to pay for chemotherapy, if that's even an option, so it is likely we will be looking at palliative care only.

Oh no, Karen, I am so very sorry to hear this. I'm not sure chemo would be effective if the tumor is in a bad place or progressive (it may be able to shrink in size but that may be about the extent - I wish there were better options)

Please tell your daughter our thoughts and prayers are with her and sweet Buster, and that the seizures can be controlled and remain comfortable, poor sweet baby...((((((HUGS)))))

Buster is now on some type of chemotherapy that is expected to reduce the size of his tumor. I don't know any specifics, including the name of the drug, but so far, he is doing well and hasn't had any more seizures.
