Re: Traci - Doc has a cloudy eye
Just called, they had a 3:00 cancellation. Tim is going to take him in. I hate not being there....

Thank goodness. I know it's hard not being there, but he'll be in good hands, tell Tim to take notes! Thinking good thoughts it is something minimal and treatable, always better to play it safe.

Will do...my anxiety is palpable. I'm hoping really hard this is nothing serious.

Feeling relieved! Vet says it's anterior uveitis. Should be ok with some eye drops. If it doesn't clear up we will consider some steroidal treatment but it's pretty mild. Going to go ahead and run some bloodwork while here.

Re: Traci - Doc has a cloudy eye
On further investigation she discovered he has lipemia. Since it can cause cloudiness in the anterior chamber we are going to try a low fat diet as well. She thinks it's likely the uveitis since it came on suddenly. I'll take him back next week if it doesn't clear up. In about 3 weeks if it does.

Treatable! Whew! I am SO glad you got him in, both of us would have been worrying ourselves sick.
Were any of Doc's blood parameters unusual or were they normal?

His albumin and globulin were slightly off. One slightly high the other slightly low. I can't remember which was which. They were only slightly out of range though. She said the lipemia could throw those off. We will recheck again in a few weeks.
Anyway, he looks quite hilarious with his one dilated pupil! Hes pretty much back to his old self after the trauma of a vet visit!
