For those who remember my Sals, she's gone to be with her br

Post by Auntie Debbie »

Rest in peace Sals (April 30, 1995 thru August 29, 2014) What a great friend you've been for such a long time; things just won't be the same without you. Empty space by the computer and pillow, but not my heart.

Oh Debbie, my heart just breaks for you! I will always remember your Razz and Sals team, so much fun and so many wonderful memories, I am crying tears right beside you.

Safe and gentle journey, sweet sweet Sals, I know you and Razz are snuggling together, and still leaving prezzies in mommy's slippers when she's not watching.......(((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Thank Traci; this is so not easy! She was 19 and I knew it was coming, just not as soon. The past half year she had started losing weight and she was getting frail. I oted not to torture her like Razzeratz but although she was drinking more water it wasn't really much of an issue. She still got around great, feebly but managed fine. Then last Monday she nose dived. Stopped eating. I made the appointment for Friday since I was home that day and could spend one last day with her. I syringe fed her and she took it, barley getting around now. On Friday I fed her but she was just gagging on it, so I stopped and just laid with her all day. She passed in the carrier as we put her in the car.
I'm guessing the kidneys just gave out sometime between Sunday and Monday morning. While she was still up and about Monday through Thursday morning she just did the stare at the water bowl thing.
I can't believe she's gone. She picked me when she was a kitten and has seen me though all kings of things. No matter what kind of crap I had going on I knew she's always be there for me. Sat by me when at the computer, slept next to me, on me, pestered me, but always loved me. I really am a mess over this.
And to add to my misery, the person I am currently working with has been told by other board members that other fost folks need their cats adopted too. She always manages to get the ones she takes in adopted, but no one else's seems to go. This month I've lost my father (no biggie there really, but still...), and three forsters, on just last night. All three I've had for over a year, so yeah, I'm very attached.

I'm really a mess right now and can't stop crying. Thanks for remembering her and how much fun she and Razzeratz were. They were, both in real life and their adventures on line.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

I'm so sorry Debbie.
We're going through this now with my sister's cat Bella who has been with us since 5 months old, he's 14 now. It just sucks.

Gentle journey sweet Sals.

Thanks Cleo. I hope Bella will have a peaceful passing. You're right. It sucks. I'm just glad Sals lived so long and even in the later years maintained incredible stamina. Up until last Monday she really still was up and about, demanding to be fed, being next to me and all that she normally did for a cat with advanced years.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

Debbie, I'm so sorry, you've been through so much, I know just how badly you're hurting, and I'm hurting with you. Sals was a trooper and you must know that you did everything you could.

Your Sals is very much like my Cecil, he was my best friend through some really rough times, but I remember him most fondly when it was just the two of us, I couldn't have done half of it without him. You are so blessed to have had Sals choose you to love her and care so much for her.

I'm so sorry for your losses, I know it feels so much to bear, please know we're here for you and with you! ((((((HUGS))))))

Of course I remember Sals! I am so sorry Debbie...it's a pain that just is like no other. Losing those we have a special bond with makes it even tougher.
