A Daring Rescue...

Post by TheSkeptic »

Situation:
Pups and momma miniature poodle dug under a fence and disappeared into a strip of swamp behind a house a few days ago. Today some people call, they see the mom and pups behind their house. Cheryl goes to get them. She arrives to find that the pups are on the other side of a Canal bordering the swamp strip. A canal infested with Alligators and Snakes!

Action:
I am on the way to help, but before I arrive she swims across the canal with a child's swimming pool and collects the mom and pups then swims BACK! Luckily without meeting any of the nastier denizens in the Canal

Resolution:
15 minutes later the mom and pups were back in their home and Cheryl went home for a shower and change of clothes.

Forget Lara Croft..............Cheryl is a real-life heroine!
I don't know which scares me more, the snakes or the alligators.

I'm with everyone else - that was something really special!

I'm surprised the gators didn't get the pups - here in sunny FL, dog is one of their gourmet treats.

We are surprised they survived that long on their own also. They were wet, dirty and hungry, but otherwise OK. ...

They made Cheryl take another bath with special anti-bacterial soap, because the canal is infested with staph

STAPH-- a little something extra just in case there wasn't enough risk involved.
