oh I understand your concern :) no worries there...

no other cats have been ill other than the URI from the kittens...and dealing with earmites that the kittens shared...ugh...but treatment is as usual there with drops and cleanings...

It was benign....skin papilloma...a "warty growth"...and to monitor for any new ones or regrowth...I understand about papilloma virus....but no, I did not ask for him to specifically be tested for that to see if he has it...or is a carrier...
Is that something I should do or worry about? Or just as I was told, to monitor that area and I will just be more vigilant in touching him all over and checking out any weird bumps...

If the pathologist didn't indicate this was a potential viral form, then it may not be significant to test for, however, you should ask your vet about that.

I asked if it stated benign because sometimes these papillomas can progress into squamous cell carcinoma, a nasty neoplasia.

So, don't just check for bumps and lumps in that area, check his entire body, and often, at least once a month. Should do this with the other cats as well, it's just good practice.

oh yes...I will check his whole body, not just the mouth area...now that I am aware he had the one, there is the potential for more...

Even though they all get hugs and cuddles --- as they wish...some are more aloof...yes, I will chek for these as I know they can also be contageous...
