There's a reason he found his way to you Tina. You're his angel!

We're still sending loads of healing vibes to him!

Doc ate!! He actually did more than sniff and lick, he ate 1/4 can of A/D this morning at about 4am!! He is urinating, his RBC is normal, he's alert - a little grumpy but alert. He is still being monitored closely and will be for the next couple days. They will assess him on Monday to see when he is ready for discharge. I don't want to jinx myself and get too excited because it seems like every time we have an up another down comes along, but darnit he ate! They fully did not expect this (obviously since they placed a feeding tube) but he surprised us!

Awesome sign! That spleen had to be bothering him and now that it's out he's not feeling quite so icky. What a fighter!

I got to visit with Doc for a little while tonight. He is amazingly alert and he got excited when he saw me! He's ready to be done with this hospital stuff though and he hates his "cone of shame" but we took it off while I visited. His vet student showed me his surgery site...he is practically cut from one end of the belly to the next! Poor guy. At any rate he continues to amaze them all, both with is tolerance for treatment, sweet nature, and all the "oddities" he had. He is still showing interest in food, although not eating a great deal, but that is OK. They are going to keep the feeding tube in until he really pics up the pace, just in case. It was great to see him and great to see that his spirit was up!

Yes, slvr, he is definitely a fighter! He isn't giving up. He realizes he hit pay dirt finally giving up the Tom's life and I think he wants to continue to live the cushy life of an indoor cat. :)

Still waiting on all the histology to come back...everyone thinks it will be normal but I don't think I will totally exhale until I know for sure.
