I don't think anyone really knows, since any cat of any color can have variations like this. Rare, though, for the different eye colors in thiscase.

One more thing, whomever is claming chimera simply due to thinking the side of the black/tux over the side of the orange tabby......grey tabbies, orange tabbies, torti's and torbi's, calicos, greys, browns, etc, any color can produce a white kerchief (the tux marking, usually in addition to the paws as well). So even though the side "appears" to be a black and white tuxedo, it may not have been intended in nature. In the pic of her siblings, I didn't see any tuxedos, but saw a torti with a lot of black coloring.

Cinnamae, for example, on the back of her head, has a perfect line separated by grey tabby and orange tabby. Likewise, our newest baby, has a straight line on her belly separating orange tabby from a mixture of torbi.

Who knows! All I know is that every cat on earth is beautiful

E's, along with the videos Silvr mentioned, check out this link, linked in the article, no photoshopping:

As for the kitty in the article, I think what is most striking about her and others is the clarity in which gives the impression of two different cats in 1/2 views (tuxedo and orange tabby, each with different colored-eyes). Now, check her left ear tip on the orange tabby side, has clear evidence of torti, as with the rest of her body.

In any case, and seeing the variety of this litter, it looks like momma kitty was verrry verrry busy (superfecundation).

Very cool!! unusual markings for sure. The rescue folks I got Angel from had a very unusual bi-blue Sheltie with similar markings. The pictures don't do her justice, but the half and half markings were very striking in person.
