Woohoo...a second low cost spay/neuter clinic is opening!

Post by Tina B and crew »

I am so thrilled about this. The clinic that did Doc's neuter has secured the funds through donations and grants to open a second clinic. So far the one location has completed over 9000 spays and neuters in just under 2 years! This area really needs this!

That really is cool, Tina, sounds like it was much needed.

Btw, those numbers are huge, congrats for a successful operation in your area :)

Very much needed Traci. People in this area don't always "get" the need to spay/neuter. This clinic has a mobile unit they use to pick up animals at various locations and bring them in to be fixed, that way people who have limited transport can have their pets fixed. It also does a lot of education. Right now their campaign slogan is it's "Hip to Snip"

I'm very proud of the work they have done, and thankful for the families that have donated the money for both clinics (as well as the grants). The people working there do a wonderful job and care so very much. They also work in conjunction with all the area shelters and a good number of the area vets, so when one has to take an animal in for a recheck they can use the vets with no additional cost. It really is a win/win situation for the area.
