Traci and everyone, thanx for your support, also,
traci you are right, this doc is going to put this in the journal, whatever that means, so far this is what my vet has come up with, minus the info from the actual surgery, but with the initial info faxed from her regular vet, he and i will wait for the final pathology report.
but this is it.
the pup went into heat around 7 months of age, since, she had had uti with blood in it a few times, another time they said she was lethargic and her belly distended, this when they sent to emergency to spay for closed pyo, what they discovered at emergency was the 13 1/2 pound growth on her ovaries caused by?
theory from my vet.
the ovaries release eggs during the cycle, he thinks that one or more eggs stayed there are were not released, leading to a filling up of a growth, and that in a very short time got huge, he said that this is a fluke, and things involving hormones normally affect the older dogs, and that she is to young! LOL
so anyway, this is his theory, he didnt know about the fallopian tube till i told him he raised his eyebrows and went huh?
this was a pup i sold to a couple with kids, she was the first born and the naughtiest pup.
anyway, she is fine, recovering nicely, i am finding out the main concensous is that it is congenital and a freak thing.
i will let you know the final report, my vet wants that faxed to him when he finds out.
