Tambrey, is there a way to edit your chipin account to show more comments? I see they only show "most recent" and they are truncated. (on the sidebar to the right of the page). Just curious if it can be done...

I am heartbroken

This is my post on Scooter's Chipin Page this afternoon...I could not do it until now...

It is with much sadness and tears that I must tell you that Scooter crossed the Rainbow Bridge early this morning.

I wish I could tell you why...I have no answers. I arrived home from Denver round 1:45am, and after greeting my husband and dogs and other cats, went right up to Scooter. He was happy to see me...He got his bath and snuggle time from me...he drank...he ate...he purrred...but he did seem a bit lethargic...I figured it is after 2am so no wonder the little guy was sleepy...

After he was dried...he ate some more...drank some more and I left him to get some sleep.

When I went in this morning to check on him, he was gone...

I will write a separate update as to funds that have been donated..

Bless you all for your prayers, donations and support...I truly feel blessed that so many reached out to help.

and then I made another entry,

If I can, I wll send a blind carbon copy e-mail to everyone as a mass e-mail, if not, I will individually e-mail each person who sent money to help with Scooter's care, asking what you would like me to do with your contributions.

1.) I can e-mail it back your payment through paypal

2.) I can donate to our local rescue, in Sioux City,
Noah's Hope Animal Rescue

3.) I can use it to get the feral colony here spayed/neutered. I have counted 40 adult cats around my property and the neighboring acreage.

It is totally up to each and every one of you as to how I appropriate your funds. No matter what decision you make, know that I felt blessed to be touched by your generosity and may it come back to you all tenfold!

So far all of the replies I have received back from the individual e-mails I received are requesting that the money go towards spay/neuter of the cats on our property.

I still feel so blessed by so many people...even though I feel so sad for Scooter...I know he is probably flipping cartwheels across the Rainbow Bridge

Thank you silvr....I have received a reply from one gal asking me to start a blog about the other cats here...how the TNR is going...how many still need to be cared for after Scooter's funding is depleted...possibly even keeping a chipin page going and even raising enough to TNR 1 or 2 a month will all help in the end.

She said she is seeing it in more and more communities where the shelters cannot keep up, and regular citizens (like me) are doing it on our own, and there are people like her who realize and appreciate what we do and want to continue to help those of us who do not get funding from any other sources.
