Prayers for Coty
Just a note to let you know my neighbor's dog, Coty, passed away this morning. Please pray for her safe arrival at the bridge. Coty was so special, but then aren't they all. Coty was 15 and had been ill quite a while. She was a bronze Lab and the best dog ever. She will be missed by the whole neighborhood. Losing them is so hard.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Prayers for Coty
Peg, I'm so very very sorry, I know how special Coty was to you, and of course, to her owners, my heart and prayers go out to all of you.
Safe and gentle journey, sweet Coty, you will have so many friends to guide you as they have gone before you..... ((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Re: Prayers for Coty
Thanks, Traci. I am crying so hard for her and she wasn't even mine! What a special pet she was. My neighbor is where Noodles and Shannon came from. I stole them from him. But his dog was his even though she was always at my house too. She had a lot of illness in the last couple of years but we have to admit 15 years with a big dog is a gift. She is just heartbreaking to lose. She held on to him at the end. She didn't want to leave him. If he stoped holding her or petting her, she tried to bark till he held her again. She lost her voice last year to the laryngeal paralysis. She was also checked for Nasal Cancer but they never confirmed it. Jim thinks she just died of age. Her body gave out. He had the vet come to the house and she died in his arms at home. He buried her in his yard next to his other dog, his beloved Sheena. Thanks so much for caring.

Re: Prayers for Coty
Thanks, Tina. I am so trying to hold on to that image. Coty romping again at the bridge. She was so strong and independent if was hard to see her so frail. Coty loved camping, hunting and life. Jim gave her the best of all worlds. She had a great life. At least she will know Shannon there. Shannon was still Jim's when Coty came to live there so they were friends before I took Shannon. I hope they are together. Coty would have given her life for Jim and she did not want to leave him. It is a very sad day and hard to believe she is gone. Thanks for caring. I will miss her forever.

Peg, I completely understand, it sounds like Coty was a real people-person-dog, a true and loyal friend, and it is never easy to lose those very special friends. I hope you and your neighbor can reflect on those wonderful years with your special bond with Coty and heal the awful pain in your hearts... (((((HUGS))))))

It's always awful to loose a furry one. I know how deeply it hurts. Sending lots of love to all who are affected by this loss.

Re: Prayers for Coty
Thanks so much. I am sitting here crying my heart out missing Coty but know now she is at peace and no longer in pain. Your words are helping to heal my heart. It is so hard and so new at just two days. I know time will help us all heal but in the meantime I am so greatful there are people like you who understand and care. Thank you.
