Fatty

Post by Tambrey »

I think Fatty is finally coming out of his depression from losing Tripod, Skinny, then Majik, then Gypsy, all in a short period of time.

As I mentioned in a previous post, he has been very aloof and laying on a pillow in the corner, sometimes maybe venturing to a chair or couch corner.

I have been taking his food and water to him wherever he chooses to hide, and I got to thinking, he is not moving around much, just laying there, so I kept picking him up and moving him out into the room, after carrying him and talking to him for a while, or sitting with him on my lap.

But I got to thinking, that maybe since he is not moving much, his bodily functions may not be either. I gave him some catlax and switched to the canned CD for a few days. I also left a bowl of dry food for him, that i had added water to as I want to be sure he is getting enough water too.

This morning, when I came downstairs, he got up to greet me, then I took dogs out, I came back in and he was laying in the kitchen waiting for food to be put into bowls!! As soon as I started, he was up and had his head in the first filled dish!! So yes, he is up and wandering amongst the other cats once again!

I will get out the laser toy tonight and see if he will chase that!!

I am so glad to hear that Tambrey. Hope Fatty continues to do well! This must have been rough on all of you.

That's good news! I hope too that Fatty will come around more and be his old self soon. Losing a buddy is nevefr easy on anyone.
Kitty kisses,
