I think we all need to invest in one of those kitty fountains..... I saw one at PetSmart the other night for something like $35.... One of these days I'm going to get one. And when I do, Daisy will probably sleep next to it as though it's her mother....

Mine steals glasses of water even if he has just drank form his bowl he will still come and drink from my glass. I cant drink it after that, something about sharing with someone who uses that tongue to wash his butt is too gross for me. Also he drinks water from whatever dish it is in.

I have them all over the house cuz I heard kittens can dehydrate very fast.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't put their water bowl next to their food bowl because in the wild their food source isn't near water. I just started giving my cats bottle water and they seem to like it better.

And about that drinking water....

When I was on my hunt to find a food both Smokey and Caz could eat (Smokey had calcium oxalate crystals and Caz had no known history of UTI/crystals) the product specialist at the company who makes the food I could use told my vet to use only distilled water.-so I bought a distiller and make the water regularly. In the long run, it was cheaper to do it this way than buying it.

The house cat at the clinic was eating the same food so her pH could be controlled but they just gave it plain old tap water.

And we do this all for the love of our precious babies...

Susan, hope your furbabies are drinking now with the changes you have made and all is well with your move.
