allegies
Re: allegies
That depends: whether it is a food allergy, skin allergy, environmental allergy.
If your kitty seems symptomatic, is not feeling well, or is exhibiting any signs of illness or unusual behavior, you need to get her examined promptly by your vet.
Otherwise, why don't you describe what's going on with your kitty in order for us to advise. Ideally, the first and best thing is getting her to your vet.

Re: allegies
I'm not sure what Mimi did, but she has been keeping her Left eye closed a bit and it seems a bit watery and it is red around the edge of her eye. Her other eye is fine and it doesn't seem to be bothering her much, she is still eats a whole bowl of food, drinking lots and has spent most of the day sleeping and happy in sun beams as usual, she also plays a lot to and want to be cuddle and sleeps with me, she also going to the bathroom normal too, She does open the eye partly on occasion, there seems to be nothing visibly wrong with the eye. what should i do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. could this be allegies? BTW this is my first cat
i vacuum the fan out from dust she seems to be not sneezing anymore and hopeful her eye gets better soon
thank you

Re: allegies
She needs to see a vet, NOW.
Eye problems should NEVER be taken lightly, as anything unusual left unchecked by your vet could develop into much more serious problems.
Only a vet can determine why her eye is swollen, red, weeping, you can't take chances, get her to a vet NOW. Better safe than sorry.

Re: allegies
I just went through a similar problem with my new rescue kitten Layla. The vet gave her some prescription eye cream and some antibiotics to take care of things and it has cleared up in a relatively short time. You really need to take her to the vet though to make sure that it is not something stuck in her eye that is causing the condition. If left alone it could do some real damage to the eye!
