Coty

Post by Shannon's Mom »

Hello,

I was wondering if I could ask for prayers for my neighbor's dog, Coty. I had posted a while back that Coty had undergone surgery for Larengeal Paralysis and was on the mend. Well, a new problem has arisen. Coty has been having nosebleeds and everything we look at indicates Nasal Cancer. Her owner is making arrangements for a scope to diagnose the problem. Coty is 14 years old now and we realize this could be the end but we are asking prayers that it is something less than cancer and can be treated in some way. Of course, Coty is a great dog. She will be so hard to lose. She is a great hunter and the entire neighborhood loves her. Thanks so much if you utter a prayer or even think of her.
Love to all,
Peg

Peg, many prayers going out to Coty and her mommy, I so hope it isn't serious and can be treated. I know the waiting and anxiety is so hard!

Thanks, Traci. I appreciate your concern. We are aware of Coty's age and the odds of it being cancer but there is also Erlichosis which is caused by a tick that can cause her symptoms too. Since she is a hunting dog, and even though she is treated for fleas and ticks, they can still bite her. She was at camp recently and now has the bleeding. She had bleeding the last time she went to camp too. You know how I love to grasp at straws. Just hate to see them go. Still mourning Shannon and poor Pumpkin has a tough road to follow in her pawprints. He's getting there. Noodles, Shannon and Coty were housemates. So you know I love Coty as much as my own.
