Kong Kickeroos are the BOMB!

Post by Cleo »

I'm sorry I didn't initially order for each cat but I will be doing so shortly!
They all went nuts for these and I'm hoping it'll cure some of the boredom around here.

Thanks Traci for the heads up on where to get these cheaper!

Glad you found them, I'm on my third order (have to get some for the cats I'm catsitting, sis' cat, and more for my own, LOL)

Aren't the cats a hoot when they play with them?

They are! And it was fun to watch them one by one come out to see what the fuss was about, then explore and do a double take like "ohhh wow .. is that .. something ... that I .. might .. liiiiiiiiiike!!!"

Tambrey, I think they've been around a couple years, I just never noticed them til last year - they are great because they are body-length for cats, and they naturally just kick at them and roll around with them (like they tend to do with their siblings when playfighting)- they have a catnip pouch inside (unfortunately not removable or refillable), but I find that my cats lick them, and that tends to "renew" the catnip scent for them. I also have a few Kong Wubbas (which are also cool, very soft).

The Kongs are two sizes, small for small cats or kittens, and large for most cats - I get both, but the cats prefer the large (kittens would probably prefer them too) - Right now, PetMountain has them for around $3.51 each (for the large size) - if you get them at PetSmart or any other major petstore, you'll end up paying up to $6 or $7 each for them!

My cats go bat$%#^ crazy over the kickaroos!

My cats won't touch them unless they are covered in catnip...but then they go CRAZY!!

Tina, just a tip - when I get them new, I use my hands to squeeze and slightly twist them enough to release the catnip scent inside, then I give them to the cats. This usually does the trick. Sometimes the catnip is embedded so far into the kickeroo that it is hard to find/smell.

One of the kitties I was catsitting, Fiona, loved her new kickeroo. I thought she'd also love the fresh catnip I have for the cats, so I put a few leaves on top of her kickeroo and she ignored it. I took the leaves off, and she resumed having a ball with her kickeroo. Go figure!

I can twist, squeeze, and shake forever, but they still want fresh catnip smeared all over it. My peculiar cats
