I'll try downloading PICS tonight. Well she is walking, running (not really jumping) but the vet still thinks she had a case of Osteoarthritis caused by a bite. But she is so small still. We call her Nerf (name is Allie) because she makes a nerf sound instead of a Meow. But otherwise she seems happy. Still does not like petted on her back and will roll over to have her stomach rubbed. But of late I have been busy with my grandson and his new puppy. He wants to get into 4H and work with his pup. Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Well I have a appointment to take her back to Fresno Thursday now as she is losing her hair around her neck, tip of ears and top of head. She scratches but no fleas. No reddness. Her fur is still like kitten fluff though. And by what the vet told me she should be 6 months old now. LOL she my on-going retirement project. But she eating, etc and playing still.

What are you feeding her, please talk to your vet about ruling out potential food allergies or food given that might not be meeting her nutritional needs.

Also, ask vet about adding EFA's (essential fatty acids) or vitamin supplement to her food if he thinks it might be appropriate and/or potential change to a hypoallergenic diet.

JMO, but Fancy Feast isn't really a good quality food for a growing/developing kitten. She should ideally still be on a quality kitten food until around 8 months or so when she can be graduated to an adult food.

The ProPlan is fine if it's kitten food. If you want to feed canned too as a treat, most of us here recommend Iams canned kitten food. Maybe only feed the canned kitten food as a treat or once a day in a small amount, you don't want to feed too much of canned when you're already feeding dry kitten food, as you want to keep the RDA/calories within a proper level, not too much. Around 8 months of age or so, and providing she is active, energetic and maintaining a good body condition score, she can be graduated onto adult food. With her lowered activity level of late, just watch her weight. Hopefully as she improves, she will also improve her muscle mass.

Please keep us updated and let us know how it goes on Thursday?

The took a scraping and look at it, more blood work. And basically think its a allergy. Gave me some Kitten dry food and said stay with that. And see how she does (So far she look at it ate a couple bites and then tried to cover it up). They gave her a shot to help boost her immune system. And thats where we are as of now until she goes back Tuesday. She has cried quite a bit (hungry I am just assumming). Her weight is good. They say she is small for her age though.
