Introducing Queen Lucy Pevensie...and Chunk too!
Here she is, already accustomed to the paparazzi
Aren't I cute?
I'm going to ignore you (this one reminds me of Willow a lot)
Close up!
I see something!
Making biscuits on her new fuzzy blanket (another Willow mimic)
I like my new home
She's such a tiny, precious girl
She found a sunny spot, and a brand new bed

And here is the Chunk-a-dunk. He's really doing great with Lucy, other than wanting to eat all her food
I'm cute too!
See? And I have HUGE paws!!
I'm not going to look either
OOhh...what's down there?
Another cat! Wonder if she will play?
Hmmmm.....what can I get into?
Uh oh...mom caught me!
I'll be good
Because I'm just cute
Can you believe this beast weighs in at 18lbs now? And he's not fat, he's just a big boy. His paws are massive!

Holy cow, 18 pounds? My two cats don't weigh 18 pounds TOGETHER.
Tina, I'm so glad to see you in better spirits. Lucy is gorgeous, and I'm thrilled she's in your life.

Yes silver...18 lbs. Now that's not official, that's from me picking him up while I'm on the scale, but it's pretty darn close. He is due for a vet check in January and I'll see how much he weighs officially. He was getting a bit on the overly chunky side...ha ha...before Willow left, but since he seems to have slimmed a bit. The problem I have now is feeding a very small cat who could stand to put on some weight, and keeping him from scarfing all the food down that I feed her. She is not a voracious eater by any stretch of the imagination, in fact she really likes to graze. I can see this being an issue
Do you see the uncanny resemblance between her and Willow? I'm going to try to find similar photos and post them side by side..I swear Willow's spirit inhabits her! She's a precious gal for sure...Willow would have sent me nothing less

She is certainly tiny, oh my, what a sweet little girl! She can't be even a year old, can she?
Yes, very very similar to your sweet Willow, the expressions are so very similar.
Thank you so much for all the pics of Chunk too, what a beauty! I just love his big ears!!

Re: Introducing Queen Lucy Pevensie...and Chunk too!
They guesstimated her age at 1 yr. I'm thinking that has to be her maximum age. She did have a kitten, and the kitten looked to be maybe 4-6 months, so she was young when she birthed. Willow was as well, and Willow had just one kitten with her when I fostered her. She can't weigh more than 6 lbs I'd guess. There is nothing to her when you pick her up, it's like holding a feather! Not sure what her situation was prior to be abandoned in a box (and I found out that she was left at a side door that isn't checked regularly and has a sign on it that says "DO NOT leave deliveries at this door"...ugh, people make me sick, but at least someone did notice the box and found them) but she certainly isn't feral. I need to figure out how to get some weight on her, but she won't eat when I feed her. She tends to eat mostly overnight. I guess when I'm gone for the day I'll just have to separate the two because otherwise Chunk will scarf down all the food.Traci wrote:She is certainly tiny, oh my, what a sweet little girl! Speaking of Chunk, did you see the size of those paws?! He's a good boy. He was a little obnoxious with Willow, but what cat wasn't?
Lucy handles him quite well in spite of the size difference.

See your post in FH.
Yep, he's a big boy, but he may be predisposed to weight issues, so be very careful. Also, encourage play and exercise as often as you can.

Re: Introducing Queen Lucy Pevensie...and Chunk too!
I was kind of hoping that with him and Lucy getting along so well that it would lead to him doing more running and playing. So far Lucy has no interest in kitten games, she's just above that
But Chunk does get in play and exercise every day. He had become a bit lazy after Willow died, but I think part of that was him grieving. He's back to his normal self now. It's funny to watch his antics with Lucy. Sometimes I swear he's like the little boy showing off for the new kid on the block. He will run and try to jump over his tunnel or play cube and miss because he's intent on seeing if Lucy is watching. She just looks at him like she's saying, in a very demure voice I might add, "boys!"
