I'm like Cleo, I've almost always been nocturnal, and sometimes do my best thinking late at night.

Tina, don't feel guilty about carrying over your nightime ritual with Chunk. It is NOT replacing Willow, but you might find that snuggling with Chunk at those times might be just what the doctor ordered. I'm not undermining what it is like for you at night, just maybe try to allow Chunk to comfort you.

She's my little teddy bear.

We've been having lots of quality time lately. Emmy has been bonding with my mom and my sister, which has left me with tons of time for Izzy, who prefers me and only me. Emmy still comes around for snuggles now and again, but Izzy is my shadow.

Although... oh man, did Emmy have us all cracking up today. My sister was feeding my nephew a dinner of turkey baby food. I was making muffins. I hear Emmy just crying up a storm and I ask who is tormenting my cat. Sister is laughing and tells me to come see.

Emmy is going BERSERK over the smell of the baby food! She was practically trying to climb my sister's leg and just crying like someone was ripping off her limbs. I put a TINY taste in her food dish and she just sat there licking it for a good ten minutes. She's such a character.

My parents say that the cats are like me and my sister. Izzy is quiet and likes her space, Emmy is loud and wants to be the center of attention. It's an apt comparison.

Awww....Izzy is such a doll. That was Willow, my shadow. I think she still shadows me, it's not so evident to the naked eye Lucy is doing a pretty good job at it, but she's a bit more independent that Willow was. There are times when I look at her and I swear it's Willow...then I see the tail.

I haven't posted a picture in here in FAR too long. It's off Facebook, so if it doesn't work, let me know and I'll upload it somewhere else. I'm tired but I wanted to post this for you guys.

When we had the windows replaced, Mom got her wish of a bay window. Which is now Izzy's bay window. Of course.

Well, I still miss Emmy, but apparently I'm getting to a better place about it.

Dreamed about her last night, and in the dream, I said to a visiting friend, "That zombie cat is back!" It just came back to me and I started cracking up.

Another funny... my mom texted me yesterday to tell me there was literally a tomcat HANGING on the screen door trying to get in to mate with Izzy! They tried to shoo him away but were laughing too hard. Don't know where he came from since we haven't had cats in the neighborhood for ages. He must have wandered from a ways off. If he's still around, I'll see what I can do for him, but he's probably moved around.
