I'm glad we have learned our kitties are so similar. Shannon had a straight tail which she chased unmercifully when I first got her. Her tail was ringed with gold rings. You can barely see it in the pictures but that was why she was so far to the left in the pictures. The photographer wanted to get the tail.
Because her left rear leg was somewhat shorter than the others, she wobbled when she walked and with her coloring looked a little like a raccoon from the rear. The rocking is what caused the disc in her back to wear. Shannon's leg was smashed with a rock from some thoughtless kid. It was put back together but there was never a guarantee it would be useful. Shannon's answer to that was to run out of the house with her cast and jump a fence (cast and all!). She was a fighter who wanted to live right to the end.
Silver, give Izzy a big hug from me and cuddle with her. I miss that so much. Shannon was a headbutter and we watched TV cheek to cheek each night. I still stop to look for her and still wake at her pill times. I can't believe I have been without her for a whole week!
Sue, I think Foghorn and Shannon will get along well once the novelty wears off. I don't think Shannon ever saw a chicken but she loved to cluck and chirp at the birds on the lawn. Thanks for telling about Foggy. I hope all our furangels are happy and healthy at the bridge and we get them all back in Heaven.

Tina,
I just looked at the pictures of Willow. How beautiful she is. She does look so much like Shannon. It made me cry to think of these two beautiful kitties being gone. Both so similar and both so loved.
