I'm so sorry Tambrey. I hope the others stay healthy.

The other 2 are doing beautifully..except for fleas that we are attempting to pick off of them

lastnight...a black mamma climbed into the box...WITH Pretty and her two kittens...and proceeded two give birth to her kittens
Pretty was helping to clean them as they were being born and they were nursing on whoever they latched into first..

There were four squiggly little black ones this morning...plus the two older ones...and TWO mammas all curled in the box together...all nursing on each other or sleeping in a pile and being cleaned by both moms...

When another cat came near...Pretty would stand up and glare at them...then gently stepped over and around kittens and positioned herself OVER the new mamma and babies....gently and not fully down on them...but very protective of them...

I will find a larger box this evening for the crew to sprawl out in....

pictures to come

waiting to get pictures uploaded sometime when it won't slow down the network....

the two older ones got to swim in the bathtub yesterday.....fleas that would not die...grrrrrr.....I was picking and fluffing their fur while in the water....could not find the flea comb for the cats...so bought another and need to sit and comb them...and the smaller 4....

the yellow one is not gaining as much as the white and gray one, so I got stage 2 KMR for them yesterday to get a bit more nutrition into the yellow one especially....it took right to it and made a mess eating...

In the meantime...we found a 3rd litter...just 2....a black and a very DARK tortuiseshell....in the old Malibu on the drivers side floorboard.....the back passenger window is broken (mechanism so it does not go up...glass is fin)...and I guess that Mom decided it was a good place to have them....their eyes are open already

Treedweller...the 4th pregnant one...has had hers somewhere...no idea where.....hopefully she will lead us to them soon.....

And TUx has had hers also....so that is all the pregnant ones done for now....wish I could afford to hurry and get them ALL spayed before it happens again

Oh my! Lots of little kitties. I bet they are so cute. I've always loved kittens. I used to get in so much trouble because they would scratch me and my mom was afraid of cat scratch fever. Didn't bother me though - I kept right on playing with them. Mom should have known she couldn't keep me away. I think she eventually accepted it and just hoped I didn't get sick or the scratches didn't get infected.

yes...lots of kitties...too many kitties....we cannot even walk down the sidewalk any longer....it is really starting to irritate me that the neighbor is doing nothing...I do not think he is providing food any more in the shed across the street...my husband is mad about them all and the amount of $$$ we spend on food each week...

Winter is coming fast and I do not know where this many will shelter for the winter...

No one wants to take them or help with them...I cannot afford to spay them all...

it just really bites

Have you confronted the neighbor of late? Don't settle for some sob story, confront him (in a communicable way), if he can't afford to help you spay and neuter them, he can help provide supplies to build a shelter for them.
