My Mom had to send her Shiloh across the Rainbow Bridge today
She noticed a growth on his cheek a couple weeks ago...took him in and got it checked....she thought an abscessed tooth...results came back to be cancer and too fast spreading...I don't know exactly what kind..she just said cancer and I was not going to press for more answers...surgery to remove the tumor would have taken that half of his jaw....
So day Shiloh crossed the Bridge...
Sleep Well and go find your mama Shiloh.....I am sure Friendly is waiting for you....
Rest Easy Shiloh
Re: Rest Easy Shiloh
I'm so sorry, Tambrey. Safe and gentle journey Shiloh
For what it's worth, if by chance squamous cell carcinoma, there are various new treatments and procedures (as well as on the horizon), and sometimes these treatments can be considered before destructive surgeries. Of course every cancer affects every patient differently, but biopsies and sometimes, other tests, are necessary to clearly distinguish benign from malignant. (they can be deceiving to an inexperienced vet).
