a member here who runs an animal rescue ... Starfish To the Sea Rescue...lost a beloved member of their family today...
Callie and her bubby, Buddy, came to Starfish a few months ago...if I remember correctly, either their elderly owner had died or went to a nursing home...
Buddy was adopted out, but Callie was found to be in renal failure at her vet visit...so Starfish opted to not adopt her out...
They gave Callie all the vetting and loving and medicines and special food and gave her an awesome life right to her last moments....
But this afternoon....Callie was helped across the Rainbow Bridge...
