She woke me up with her barking last night at 2am, so I checked on her and found she couldn't seem to move or stand up. Called the Vet and we decided to wait until morning to bring her in (there are no emergency clinics here). Then I remembered a mobile Vet had recently opened, I had met her at Dr H's office before, so I called and asked her to come. I knew it would be easier on Biscotti to be at home.
The past month or so, things had been getting worse for her...arthritis in her back and hips, incontinence, lack of interest in food. I guess last night showed me it was her time...
She was 15...but will always be my crazy, nutty adopted and much loved Basset Hound in my heart...
