Little Stray Calico

Post by Tambrey »

I took her to the vet today...she showed up at our house yesterday...very sickly looking....

She is going to be crossing the Rainbow Bridge...I asked one of the techs to just be with her and hold her...since I can't be....I am at work...

She has a bad URI...uterine infection...and feline leukemia...severly dehydrated and skin and bones (between her and the carrier, they did not even trip the weight limit to set off my seat belt alert on the car seat today)

The vet said she would not make it through surgery in the state she is in..and the infectins are so bad and she is so sickly that she would not be able to gain the weight needed to do it safely...I cannot bring her into my home with my own cats....

It was a hard decision...but I asked them to go ahead and let her go...she has suffered long enough...

Safe journey and run free and pain free now, little girl....

she did get some nice canned food and loving yesterday from hubby and I sitting on the front porch....(and yes, we washed up after being with her before we went in with our own cats...just in case...but I kind of had a gut feeling about her diagnosis...)

I just feel so bad for her...at least she knew to come to someone who would take care of her and she did not just go off alone somewhere...

Tambrey, after Honey passed I found half a bag of her fav treats I wished I had given her all at once, but she did get a last McDonald's hamburger which she loved.

That little cat was lucky to find you and have you help her cross over.
