littermate is mourning

Post by corlev »

Hi. I've posted on and off for several years. I just lost my cat, Chester, to lymphoma. It is hard for me to think of losing my sweet gentle boy. He survived with it for over 4 years, and was almost 15 years old. I am worried about his littermate, Junior. I did notice him looking around for Chester at feeding time, but now, he just follows me and my husband around the house most of the time. He isn't sleeping when he usually slept. I bought him some new toys, and have been giving him lots of attention. What else can I do to help him adjust? By the way, Junior is also diabetic. Thanks.

You're doing all you can, tincture of time is usually all we can do. Continue to give him tons of love and affection.

Safe and gentle journey, sweet Chester... (((((HUGS)))))
