Yes, it sounds normal and it sounds like she is much more relaxed as each day goes by.

Please be careful about all the treats. She may become overly accustomed or dependent on them, and she may be begging for treats as an attention-getter trick. The more she is encouraged to eat her normal diet on her own, the better. Nothing wrong with pampering her, just don't go overboard.

The lunchmeat has no real nutritional value, and the salt/sodium content alone isn't good for cats, particularly those with any renal or heart compromise. An occasional tiny piece of chicken, as long as it's fully cooked, is probably ok, but best to avoid it for the sole reason she may become dependent upon such snacks.

Call your vet first thing tomorrow and discuss your concerns with him. He may request her weight, or discuss with you a temporary caloric diet, but wait for his advice before doing anything different. If she's increasing her food intake, no matter how slight, you don't want to rock the boat by changing her regular diet unless the vet suggests to do so based on her weight and overall health status.

Between yesterday and today, Belle has become SO much more like herself!!! Yesterday evening, I was "visiting" with her and she ate quite a bit of her normal (Science Diet Sr.) food! Then, this morning, I took my toiletries upstairs to the bathroom she was in & spent time talking to her so she would eat. She ate well this morning, too, and "talked" a LOT to me. She made biscuits (LOL) the whole time I talked to her, chirping and purring, and then when I dried my hair, she hopped up to the counter & patted my hand, hair, & face the whole time.

She did #2 in her litterbox overnight, and since yesterday evening, she's urinated twice.

I feel really good about her "recovery." She looks much more bright-eyed today!

I'm about to call the vet to find out what other "snacks" I can give that won't hurt her kidneys. I'll make her follow-up appointment for three weeks from this past Friday, too!
