Well....I talked with Ellie's mom today...she informed me that Ellie was going to be crossing the Rainbow Bridge in a little while...her husband is taking Ellie in...she cannot do it
Probaly by the time I post this...she will be there with her kitty-mom, Hissy Spitty
10:45am CST...Ellie crossed the Rainbow Bridge
Ellie is our littlest feral that was having the motor issues and never grew...kind of like cerebral palsy in humans? Her mom said the last couple weeks she has stopped eating...she sleeps 23 hours a day and even is having seizures in her sleep..multiple seizures during one sleep episode...and is now defacating and urinating on herself during a seizure and then just laying there in it...the vet has tried numerous things...according to Ellie's Mom...and the family decided lastnight that it is not fair to Ellie to keep trying things with her...to let her suffer through these seizures and the humiliation of messing herself and not being able to clean up...
Safe Journey Little Ellephant...you did good while you were here...

Re: Little Ellie
Thanks Traci....I still keep wiping tears away here at work...I am blaming it on allergies, which I do have a sinus headache as well....
I messaged the owner of the other little "mini-kitty" Duchess, to let her know...she was sorry to receive the sad news, but reported that Duchess is doing quite well, although still very small and kittenish...she had been sick for a while in fall and the vet ran all sorts of tests and she was on a few different meds...but all is normal...they were worried about her kidneys and liver for a while...but those came back normal...
Now the "mom" is going to be going to Costa Rica for a couple of months for school study projects...so her Mom here locally has Duchess at her house and is spoiling her rotten!!
The 3rd one in the litter, Stripe, we still have not been able to catch and hold...although she will sit outside the front living room window and "play" with our cats through the glass and if we put our hands to the glass, she will head butt like she wants to rub against us..and wants the attention....she just will not allow it when we actually go outside with her

I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier. It's so sad when one of these little ones is called to the Rainbow Bridge at such a young age. It just doesn't seem fair that they don't get to grow up and have a normal life.
I posted today about Fang (our little Humane Society kitty) and I know how sad Ellie's family must feel. What an adorable baby she is! I hope the two of them can play together at the Rainbow Bridge.
My deepest sympathies to Ellie's family. I hope it helps them feel a little better knowing they did all they could for her. I'm glad to hear Duchess is doing well and hopefully, Stripe will become tame enough so she can be handled soon.

My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.
