Re: New Mom help needed
okay - new question. Huggy, my black one, has a bit of a flabby tummy and he's been getting chunky, even though I feed him and Starsky the same amount. Is there a reason for this? Should I take him to the vet to get checked out? I mean, you can see it a bit in his picture.

Unfortunately, as they mature, after neutering, they will sometimes gain a sort of "pouch" in the lower abdominal area. This is true for both males and females.
However, if this is NOT the lower abdominal area, and the extra seems to be around the waist and ribs, yes, get him evaluated by your vet.
What are you feeding them, a kitten food or adult food? How old are they now? Is Huggy pretty active and playful?

Feeding them kitten food - Iams. And they get a can of wet kitten food to share at night. Huggy seems to be the lazier of the 2 kitties. He's a "wait until the prey is still, then pounce" kind of hunter, whereas Starsky will chase it. But they do race around the house pretty frequently and jump on chairs.
Lower abdominal for sure, not around his ribs. My, but kitties grow up fast.

If it appears as a pouch that hangs (skin), it is probably a result of post-neutering, and inactivity. Are the kittens scheduled for their booster vaccinations? If so, schedule an appointment and your vet can help you determine food amounts to feed and additional exercise tips if necessary.
