All the same from me. My dad was career Air Force and he was gone a lot. So, in a way, I understand some of what you're going thru. It's not the same with a dad as it is with a husband, but there are some similarities.

Izzy popped up to say hi for a second. Emmy is FURIOUSLY rubbing herself all over Jon's bags. FURIOUSLY. It's pretty amusing.

Emmy is very happy that Daddy is home. She's been snuggling with us non-stop since he settled in. Izzy is mostly keeping to herself right now, but coming out for food without any provocation and says a quick hello from time to time, so I'm not worried. She dislikes disruption whereas Emmy is more like a dog... if there's a person around, she will snuggle with it. But she's sleeping so peacefully, with this content look on her face, whenever she's around us. I don't think it's anthropomorphizing to say that she's definitely happy to have HER human home. We're bonded, but she's Daddy's girl.

Awww, I'll bet hubby appreciates the warm home-coming too, eh?

Keep an eye on Izzy (Emmy too for that matter).....it's been a long time since Daddy has been around so transient stress should be watched for.
