Am so sick..have every symptom known to man and have been in bed for days. Today my little nurse came up to check on me and I was so glad to see her.
Can Angel catch anything from me? I have tried to be careful to wash my hands when feeding her, etc.
Can I make my cat sick...
Re: Can I make my cat sick...
I have no advice, but am sending some get well prayers for you. Traci can help better, but I don't think there is too much that gets transferred from humans to pets, and vice versa. Warming hugs being sent as well.
Re: Can I make my cat sick...
Thanks, Marty. Tonight is the first night in days I have been downstairs. Angel was so happy she was playing all over the place like a kitten.
Re: Can I make my cat sick...
As for viruses, with the exception of H1N1 (swine flu), there is very little chance you would give a virus to your cat.
H1N1 has passed from humans to cats, dogs, ferrets, etc. So, please, make sure you see your doc if you suspect you have the flu or even the slightest symptoms of the flu. H1N1 is not transmitted from animals to humans, rather the other way around, so if a person has it, it is recommended for another family member to care for the pet(s), do not handle, keep hands washed, do not cough/sneeze etc around the pet(s).
Again, if you think you have the flu, get to your doc immediately and make sure it isn't H1N1!
