hey guys, hope you can help.
since i got back from a show, where sydney finished! yahooo
he is now a ukc ch.
anyway, penny had scarfed her food and almost choked to death, yup now i put a rock in her dish, to slow her down, and i also take the bowl away if i see her eating fast even with that.
anyway, since that episode, she has been backwards sneezing, whenever she "gets excited" or the "activity level is skyrocketed" or "feeding time" go figure.
anyway, i am wondering, is it possible she got a piece of food lodged in her nasal passage? it is quite frequent becouse she is very active, i am also wondering, could this be allergy related and just a fluke that she started this right after inhaling her food?
just curious till the vet appt wich is not till thurs.

Backwards Sneezing
Re: Backwards Sneezing
reverse sneeze is usually an allergice response but could be from any7 causye tjhat will produce a post nasal drip...a thousand years from now when dogs learn to snort and bring it up and spit it out it won't be swo obvious but fonow it is best to cget a vet chek to make sure it is not sonsilitis some eary infection...some timews when they are doing it a quick clap of the hands behind their head makes them gulp and swallow the goober....but get the throat checkec.d
Re: Backwards Sneezing
I have had some Collies that did this. It seemed that they got excited and perhaps breathed in a little mucus which they then respond to clear. It never caused a problem. They often did it when I was gibing out treats, etc. I do something like that sometimes myself - breath in at the wrong time.
