Here she is....our little freezing rescue from this afternoon...she just does not have what it takes to be a feral and Mom had been working with her to try to find her a home...hopefully we will soon...or maybe it is too late since my husband named her
Mom had been getting the basic vet care stuff done....but we did treat her for earmites when we brought her in this afternoon...
You will notice that Little Dum-Dum likes to warm her Little Bum-Bum by the heat register in the dining room....we have an old couch cushion on the floor in front of that one and all of the cats just love to lay on it at one time or another....
oh myyy....I can tell I need to pull the printer stand beside there out and clean the cat fur
And don't mind the "rustic" look of the register cover....it will get repainted a nice shade of black when we finish painting everything else....ALL of the register covers will get a new paint job!!
Its an OLD house that needs ALOT of work....but it is PAID for!!!
Well, my husband laughingly decided we cannot keep calling her Little Dum-Dum...so we decided that her name is DeeDee
Should be Daredevil for some of the shelves and places I have found her already!!!....She is quite the explorer and NOT afraid of ANYTHING....the little S***!!!!
She is a very pretty little kitten. I don't blame her for trying to stay warm. I think I'd be right there with her. Is there something wrong with her left eye? The blue reflection that shows in the photo is unusual.

When her and her littermates...gone to new homes...were first starting to open their eyes, she ended up with a URI and nasty gunk in her eyes and we had to soak them open for her often, so she may have some residual damage....
Mom never took her back to get that checked...just meds etc for being sick...but I did notice that too in the pictures of her...
Her eyes do look "normal" when you look at them just regular, but the light reflecting from the flash did some weird things to them, for sure!!

She is exploring quite well now....climbing the shelf to try to get to the window to look out at the back pasture...and starting to socialize with the other cats...there is still some hissing and growling and hair raising going on, but not as bad...lastnight she wiggled her way in between Roo and Trippie while they were snuggled together sleeping...Roo normally hisses at her and makes nasty faces....but he was so deep in sleep he just ended up using her as a pillow...and Trippe started to give her a bath....I did not have the camera nearby and they were right here beside me at the desk, so if I had moved to get it, I would have disturbed their moment, so I left them be....
She is attempting to get close to Skittles right now...Skittles is sniffing at her, making sime hisses but then sniffs more...not batting at her or running away...and DeeDee is not hissing or growling back, so she is being submissive for once!!>...hahahaaaaa
