Charlie ~ A Local Chocolate Lab

Post by Tambrey »

This story just saddens me so much

Prayers that his surgery is successful and that Charlie finds a forever loving home that will help him forget what happened to him...
This surgery is beyond the scope of capability for the local vets at our loocal hospital....so hoping the sioux falls vet is successful

How sad. I hope he will be OK

How do they know he was pushed? Dogs fall from these things often.

In any event, the surgery, while complicated, should be successful, providing the vet is a good orthopedic surgeon. Get well soon, Charlie

Here are a couple of pictures of that bridge

hopefully all of the links work.....but as you can (sort of) tell....the bridge is pretty secure as far as safety rails are concerned...the newspaper article states that Charlie was either thrown or forced off....so I guess he could have been running along the bridge and cars forced him to make a jump...but he would have had to get up onto the rail and then over the top...I guess it is a possibility if he was scared enough...but knowing people around here any more.....well....I hate to think people can be so cruel....

But then.....it was also just in our local paper last week that a bunch of kids from my son's class, and some before and after...all around his age anyways,....broke into a farmhouse being renovated this past summer....threw furniture into a pile...broke canning jars of food...started a bonfire and since there was a puppy on the premises....threw her into the fire as well....she did not make it
They are all either arrested, being charged or charges pending...
it sickens me that I KNOW these kids and many of them come from some of the best families in town and are "fine outstanding Christian citizens"

Of course, it's always "he was always such a good boy". That drives me insane.

Thanks for the pics of the bridge. Hard to say, dogs get into trouble all the time, but if someone did this, may they meet a similar fate one day
